Earlier today I engaged in conversation with two Mormon girls who were doing ‘outreach’ in Lisburn – ‘Sister Thu’ and ‘Sister Coffman’. Our conversation was friendly and in the course of it I asked them how their
‘Jesus’ received his earthly body. They replied that it was through the Virgin Mary and the Holy Ghost. They were rather surprised then when I told them their church taught otherwise.
They accepted a ministry card with the ministry web site address and if in
God’s providence they go to it I hope they will see this article-listing, and

they will be able to read the quotes I referred to that demonstrate that their
understanding of Christ’s conception does not line up with official pronouncements by leading Mormon figures including Brigham Young.

JOYCE MEYER: Is her word to be trusted?
In recent days I posted a short item on Facebook directing people to video of JOYCE MEYER ‘expounding’ Romans 4:17. I prefaced the link to the video with these comments –
‘Some people express surprise when I identify JOYCE MEYER as a false teacher (and that’s apart from the fact that as a woman she should not be exercising the ‘teaching role’ as she does) so perhaps this video clip, with added comments, may help confirm my assessment of her’.

CHURCH of GOD International
This group which is based in Tyler, Texas, USA has in recent years been seeking to extend its influence in the UK and Europe through the efforts of a Mr James McBride who is based in Lincoln, England. This group was founded by Garner Ted Armstrong, son of Herbert W. Armstrong who founded The Worldwide Church of God which produces the glossy magazine ‘The Plain Truth’ and puts out a satellite TV broadcast each Sunday called ‘The World Tomorrow’.
In fact, my first introduction to Garner Ted Armstrong was during my teenage years when I used to listen to the pop music station – Radio Luxembourg and Garner Ted used to present a 15-minute programme on behalf of his father’s church and the programme was called ‘The World Tomorrow’.
